Police investigate Elgin commercial break-ins

GRAMPIAN Police are investigating two break-ins to commercial premises in Elgin.

Police say that between August 5 and August 8, cash was stolen from a business located in the Pinefield Industrial Estate.

Between the same dates, officers say that a number of tools were also taken from a shipping container that was located in a building site on Elgin’s Hamilton Drive.

A police spokesperson said: "I would urge anyone who saw any suspicious activity near commercial premises during the weekend to contact Grampian Police and ask people to remain vigilant.

"This also serves as a reminder to all commercial premises in Moray to consider their security and make this a hostile area for acquisitive crime."

Anyone with information on either incident should contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
