Forres man’s home was raided after Moray police received intelligence on downloaded child porn

A 45-year-old man who was found to have downloaded an indecent image of a child has been placed on the Sex Offender’s Register.

Police received intelligence that the indecent image had been downloaded at an address on North Road in Forres and raided the property with a search warrant.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that when officers attended Andrew Milton's home he provided them with the passwords for various devices which were seized.

Fiscal depute Pauline Gair told Sheriff Gary Aitken that one category B image of a child was found on a Samsung tablet.

He admitted having the image on June 10, 2024, and sentence was deferred until June 17 for a background report.

Milton was immediately placed on the Sex Offender's Register.
