SCORES of teenagers were spoken to by police yesterday in Elgin in a drive to stamp out anti-social behaviour.

Community Police Officer Constable Jamie Dey was out on patrol at four woodland areas around Elgin after reports were received of anti-social behaviour among groups of teenagers.

More than 40 young people were stopped and spoken to by police. A number were taken home to their parents.

Police said the patrols were general and preventative in nature, rather than in response to specific incidents.
