Police warning about illegal parking in Elgin

Police Scotland has warned motorists in Elgin against abusing the parking restrictions in and around the centre of town.

A spokesperson said "Elgin Community Police officer PC Jamie Dey was out on Elgin High Street this morning speaking with some unhappy members of the public and shop owners.

"Tickets will continue to be given to motorists who abuse parking restrictions.

"All-day parking is available locally for £1."
