Bus Revolution is part of Moray’s £100 million Growth Deal, funded through £4 million from the Scottish Government and £300,000 from Moray Council.

The local authority is now introducing a series of service enhancements and new routes to better serve residents.

Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Councillor Marc Macrae, said: "The rollout of phase two of m.connect reflects our commitment to delivering even more responsive, community-led transport solutions.

“These new and revised services will offer more flexibility, better connections, and practical support for rural and town-based travel across Moray. The addition of the on-demand Saturday service in Buckie and Keith is a particularly exciting development that responds directly to what residents have told us they need."

From today (May 6) the 333 Service connecting Burghead, Hopeman and Lossiemouth will operate with distinct timetables for school term times and holidays, ensuring consistent service throughout the year.

Serving Elgin to Kingston, the 334 service route features an updated timetable to enhance travel options along the Elgin to Kingston corridor, also from today (May 6).

A revised timetable for the 309 service travelling to Cullen, Buckie and Keith will also come into effect from May 6, improving journey times and connections along this key corridor. In response to community feedback, the council is also introducing a new on-demand Saturday service in Buckie and Keith, starting on May 10. This service offers residents flexible travel options, allowing bookings as needed without fixed schedules, and is priced affordably to support weekend activities.

Operating hours will be every Saturday from 9am to 5pm covering Buckie Zones 1 and 2, Buckie/Keith Zone 3, and Keith Zone 1. Additional services will launch later in the summer, including a new on-demand Saturday service in Speyside operating every Saturday from 10am to 10pm, with travel into Elgin available from 6pm.

New timetabled services in Speyside will provide vital links between rural villages and central hubs. These include the 367 service travelling to Auchbreck, Knockando and Aberlour, as well as the 368 service connecting Tomintoul, Dufftown and Keith. Both routes will also link into existing services for travel to Elgin and other locations.

For journeys using the on-demand services, please book via the m.connect app, available on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, or by calling 0300 1234565 (Monday to Friday).
