RAF Lossiemouth’s Lossie Fest: Where’s the best spot to watch tomorrow’s displays?





RAF Lossiemouth will be holding its annual friends and families day – Lossie Fest – tomorrow (Saturday, July 13).

The show is fully booked out - but people planning to travel to Lossiemouth to watch the show will still be able to get a view of the action.

RAF Lossie are expecting Poseidon, Typhoon and F-35 displays from midday, although all displays are subject to weather and operational commitments.

People intending on watching the air displays will be able to get a good view from public land north of the airfield.

There will be road closures and waiting restrictions in place throughout the day.

People are advised to park in Lossiemouth and walk to where they can view the air displays. There will be no parking facilities around the station.

The following restrictions will be in place: B9040 (Lossiemouth – Covesea) – No waiting between 08.00am and 5.00pm

Drainie Road – no waiting between 08.00am and 5.00pm

Covesea Road - no waiting between 08.00am and 5.00pm

B9135 (from Drainie Road to RAF Lossiemouth Main Guardroom) – closed between 12.00pm and 3.30pm
