RAF man awarded DYW Moray’s Employer of the Month Award





AN RAF operations manager who consistently goes “above and beyond” has been recognised with an award.

The dedication of Paul Duke was noted when he received DYW Moray’s Employer Recognition Award for March.

The award celebrates individuals who make outstanding contributions to developing the workforce of the future.

DYW (Developing the Young Workforce) said that Paul has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to inspiring and supporting young people across Moray.

They said he consistently goes above and beyond in his efforts to engage with students, leading interactive STEM workshops and initiatives that equip young people with essential skills for their future careers.

Through his leadership, hundreds of primary and secondary school pupils across the region have benefited from hands-on learning experiences designed to spark interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Most recently, Paul played a key role in the Moray LEGO League finals, where he served as head referee.

He coordinated the team of referees and provided vital support to participating school teams, ensuring the event’s smooth operation and success.

His dedication and expertise were instrumental in delivering an inspiring competition that showcased students’ problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Presenting the award, Emma Winchester from DYW Moray said: “Paul was the standout candidate for March’s Employer Recognition Award.

“He continuously goes above and beyond to support DYW activities in schools across the region.

“His involvement in activities across the region help to inspire young people and develop key skills for the world of work.”

Upon receiving the award, Paul Duke said: “I’m very grateful to DYW to be recognised for RAF Lossiemouth’s STEM outreach activities.

“It really is a team effort and I’m lucky to work with some fantastic people who are passionate about increasing the aspirations of young people.”
