Raid on Elgin garage – second man in court

A second man has appeared in court after cars worth £60,000 were stolen from an Elgin garage last month.

Scott Malone from Edinburgh made no plea at Inverness Sheriff Court to two charges of theft of a motor vehicle and two of theft by housebreaking.

The 29-year-old was committed for further examination and released on bail.

Three vehicles were taken from the forecourt of Hawco Garage in the early hours of January 14.
