RECYCLING centres across Moray are set to re-open in June.
All centres will open up on Monday, June 1. Opening hours will be released by Moray Council next week.
A booking system will be in operation to manage traffic and maintain strict physical distancing to protect employees and residents.
More than 2500 booking slots will be available weekly across Chanonry in Elgin, Waterford in Forres, Gollachy in Buckie, and at Keith recycling centre.
Details of how to book will be released by the council next week.
Moray Council’s waste manager, Mike Neary, thanked residents for their patience during the closure of recycling centres.
He said: "It has been a challenging time for all of us, but we took the necessary action to comply with the Scottish Government’s essential travel guidance, as well as dealing with reduced staffing, haulage capacities and understanding the implications of social distancing on our operations.
"Thank you to residents who have stored and disposed of their waste and recycling responsibly.
"While we are now in a position to re-open the sites in line with national guidance, we will continue to monitor how our sites are being used, the demand and how any future relaxation of social distancing may allow us to increase access for residents.
"Importantly, we will do all this while prioritising keeping our colleagues and residents safe."
