Regency roar off with prestigious Vauxhall customer service award





EXCELLENCE and dedication has brought its own reward for a Buckie car dealership.

Regency Car Sales on the town's High Street have been handed a major boost by Vauxhall Motors in the shape of the UK Customer Excellence Award.

Presented by Vauxhall's managing director Stephen Norman, it is the second time the firm have scooped the prestigious national honour.

The Buckie dealership claimed the trophy thanks to a great deal of feedback from highly satisfied customers over the course of what has been a very difficult year for the firm during the Covid pandemic.

One of those delighted with the award was Regency sales manager Bryan Slater, who hailed it as nothing less than recognition of all the hard work and determination of the staff.

"It's really brilliant to get this award, a lot of hard work goes in by all the staff here," he said.

"Getting recognised by the customers like this is just great – we seem to be doing a good job all round.

"We were up against dealerships right across the UK, which makes this all the more of an achievement –it's not an easy award to get by any manner of means, especially as it's taken over the course of a year. We can't thank our customers enough for voicing their support for us, it means an awful lot to all of us here at Regency."

While winning a national award customer excellence in such a highly competitive national market is hard enough work in it's own right, the last seven months of the Covid-19 pandemic, which brought with it new demands and radically different ways of working, has added an extra layer of challenge to the dedicated Regency team.

Mr Slater continued: "This year has been a hugely trying one for all of us, both in terms of what has happened and the new way of working – the new normal – we've had to adapt to.

"It's no surprise that claiming a national award against the backdrop of Covid is particularly satisfying.

"Everyone in the team here has embraced the changes we've had to make to come to terms with life as it is now and we've all been making the best of the situation.

"We're doing well at the moment, the workshop is very busy as is both our new and used car sales.

"We're very lucky indeed to have so many long-serving and loyal staff, which gives us a high degree of continuity which our customers really value.

"At the end of the day, hard work has brought its own reward."
