Elgin’s Spice Tandoori nominated at Asian Curry Awards
A restaurant and takeaway has been announced as a finalist for a national culinary award.
Spice Tandoori, located at the top of Elgin’s Moss Street, has been announced as one of the seven finalists in the Scotland section at the Asian Curry Awards.
The popular Indian is competing against Charcoal’s (Glasgow), Mother India’s Café (Glasgow), Tuk Tuk Indian Street Food (Edinburgh), Ignite (Edinburgh), Green Gates (Stirling) and Light of Bengal (Aberdeen).
Finalists were shortlisted from more than 200 restaurants and takeaways.
The winners will be announced Saturday, November 17, at Grosvenor House in London.
Chairman of the Asian Catering Federation, Yawar Khan, said: “We are delighted by the number of people who have taken the time to vote for their favourite restaurant this year.
“The standard of finalists is exceptional.”
Spice Tandoori has previously won for the best Asian Restaurant of the Year Scotland Award in 2020 at the Asian Curry Awards.
The restaurant has also won best regional restaurant in Scotland award 2019 at the Asian Restaurant and Takeaway Awards aswell as best restaurant at the 2019 AFRA awards.
