Buckie area road closures and roadworks for the week ahead
Road works and road closures are set to hit a number of local roads over the course of the week.
The C4L at Greenhill, near Deskford, is due to be closed to allow bellmouth junction works to be undertaken. This is due to run over October 21-25. A diversion is in place via C7L, C62L, U47L, C5L and C4L.
Also near Deskford, the C7L Craibstone to Fordyce road will be shut at at Craibstone culvert bridge, near lower Broadrashes, lower Craibstone, due to damage to a bridge. Work is expected to be complete by October 23, with traffic diverted along C7L, B9018, C4L and C7L..
Long term work is under way at High Street, Fochabers, east of the junction with East Street. A prohibition of waiting order is in force.
Moray Council is due to begin tree felling work on a stretch of the A98 from the Aberdeenshire boundary at Crannoch Hill to Seafield Road, Cullen starting on October 24 for one working day.
Openreach are due to be busy at a number of locations throughout Buckie enabling new localised ultra-fast broadband connections. These are: 1 John Street, Buckie (starting by October 22 for 10 working days); Seaview Road, Buckie (starting by October 22 for 10 working days); 58 Raffan Road, Buckie (under way, three working days); 7 Raffan Road (under way, 10 working days); 65 Archibald Grove, Buckie (under way, three working days).
