Forres High Street roadworks to be carried out by Seivewrights on behalf of utility firms

Moray Council has given advance warning of roadworks in a centre of town.

Motorists will be unable to park on a stretch of Forres High Street for a week as vital utility work is carried out.

Work will be carried out in the street adjacent to 96-98 High Street - the former Clydesdale Bank building on the left-hand-side.

Traffic engineer, Colin Matheson, said: “Owing to service connections, it will be necessary in the interests of public safety to apply temporary restriction to traffic.

“There will be prohibition of waiting at 96-98 High Street from Monday, August 19 until Sunday, August 25.”

Seivwrights are completing connections for water, sewer, SSE and BT.
