A NUMBER of roadworks in and around Buckie are set to get under way this week.

On the B9018 from the C621 near the Clune to the main road in Lintmill will see SSE and Omexom working on the power lines in the area. Work is expected to start on Wednesday for an estimated two working days.

Moray Council are set to continue work on the streetlights at Ogilvie Park, Cullen.

Meanwhile, over on Commercial Road in Buckie the council are undertaking HV connection works to the new Ocean Winds base. Due to start between June 4-12, the work is expected to last for six working days.

Scottish Water will be working outside 15 Burnbank during the week in Buckie to replace a broken ferrule.

BT plan to be working at a number of locations across Buckie to enable new localised ultra-fast broadband connections This activity involves excavation to Install telecoms duct to provide essential service and reinstatement.

The locations, along with estimate start dates and durations (in working days), are: 53 Douglas Crescent (June 3-4, three days); 12 Burnbank (June 4-5, three days); 9 Ewing Crescent (June 4-5, three days); 9 Greenbank Court (June 3-4, three days); 20Seaview Road (June 4-5, three days); 45 Alba Road (June 4-5, three days).
