Buckie area road closure and roadworks round-up for the week ahead
A number of road works, plus one closure, are set to affect motorists in an around a Moray town.
Kerb repair and patching works will see the south west quadrant of Cluny Square closed for a day on Monday.
Drivers are advised to use the adjacent car parks while this work is being conducted.
Due to start over Monday and Tuesday, Moray Council will be undertaking gully repairs outside 2 Burnside, Lintmill for three working days.
Over in Portknockie, the local authority are set to have competed drainage works by the middle of the week at the junction next to No 30 on Admiralty Street.
Also in the village, Scottish Network (SGN) could be working to rectify a gas escape outside 10 Reidhaven Street until the end of the month
A prohibition of waiting order .will be in force until October 7 at 15 Seafield Street, Findochty to allow Scottish water to repair a burst pipe.
Meanwhile, on Buckie’s High Street between Pozzi’s and the chemist, the council plan to undertake repairs to the pedestrian crossing, starting October 8-9 for three working days.
Between 10-28 Raffan Road in the town BT will be excavating to lay ducts, starting October 8-16 for 10 working days.
SGN will aim to have a new gas connection in place outside 4 Highfield Road, Buckie by the ned of this week or the beginning of the following week.
Moray Council are looking to reset a drainage gully at 13B The Meadows from Monday or Tuesday for three working days.
Similar work over the same timescale is scheduled for outside the town’s 6 Gollachy Street.
In Portgordon, at 2 Gordon Street, SGN are set to take most of the month in a bid to repair a gas escape.
Not far away at the steps from Richmond Place to the Post Office brae the council will be starting repairs and painting works on October 8 for three working days.
