Cullen, Fochabers and Spey Bay roads set to shut this coming week due to roadworks
Four local roads are set to shut temporarily over the course of the coming week.
In Cullen, two roads in the entre of town are set to close to allow for resurfacing works.
Work in the south-west quadrant of the square is due to get underway by July 8, lasting five working days. Over the same time period and duration, from Seafield Street to Reidhaven Street will be shut.
Just up the road in the town, York Place will be shut at the junction of the A98 until June 30, also for resurfacing.
Near Spey, Bogmoor Road will be shut at the Dallachy Strike Wing Memorial to allow a commemoration service for Canada Day to take place.
A diversion will be in place via Bogmoor Road, U9e Auchenhalrig Road, C16E Byres to Tannachy Road, U8E Enzie to Cunninghaugh Road and U10E Dallachy/Spey Road.
Over at 7 Spey Street, Fochabers Scottish Water are scheduled to complete a burst water main by Tuesday, July 1.
Meanwhile, in Buckie, Openreach should have finished excavation work outside 48-50 Douglas Crescent by July 10.
Vodafone are due to commence work at a number of locations in and around Buckie on July 1, all for three working days. These are: East Cathcart Street outside the police station; Near Clearhill Farm on the:A98 from the A942 at Smithstown to the A942 east of Inchgower; At junction with the A98 from the A942 east of Inchgower to the main road in Arradoul.
At the junction with Munro way in Buckie the firm aim to start between July 1-3 while at the junction with the U8e from the C17e at Chapelford to the A98 at the Bridge of Tynet work is due to start on July 2. The expected duration in three working days.
Scottish Hydro Power Distribution have excavation work planned outside 34 West Church Street, Buckie, starting between July 2-10 for eight working days.
Scottish Gas Network are due to finish installing a new gas connection at 29 Sutherland Street in Buckie by July 3.
At Main Road, Arradoul Scottish Water aim to complete repairs to a burst water main by July 1.
