Buckie area roadworks round-up for the week ahead





Utilities companies are set to be out and about in the local area this coming week undertaking roadworks.

At 7-9 The Square, Cullen Scottish Gas Network (SGN) are due to start installing a new gas connection between July 28 and August 5 for 10 working days.

In order to repair a gas leak outside 20 New street, Buckie the firm will be working for an extended period of 21 working days, having started on July 23.

Openreach crews aim to be at three sites in Buckie this coming week, two of them on Douglas Crescent. at the Cunningholes end of the street, excavation work - scheduled to run 11 working days - should have begun by August 1, along the road outside No 69, excavation work is also on the cards which is planned to start no later than Tuesday for 11 working days.

Work at McWilliam Crescent in the town should be completed by Monday at the latest.

Scottish Hydro Electric Power Distribution are planning to begin preparatory work for a new supply outside Colonsay Place, Buckie by August 5 for a total of 11 working days.

Ditching work will see Moray Council working on the A942 between Portknockie and Findochty. One set if works is scheduled to finish on Monday while the other is due to start by July 28 for three working days.
