AN EVENT at Elgin Academy that was due to help primary school children deal with the transition to secondary school has been postponed.

Sansum Martial Arts were due to host the event at Elgin Academy tomorrow from 4pm until 5pm, with a visit from Elgin Youth Café from 5pm until 5.30pm.

However, after a fire at Elgin Academy yesterday, the school is not available for use.

Children were sent home from the school yesterday morning and learned from home today. The school will also remain closed tomorrow – although remains open for S4-6 pupils taking exams.

Sansum Martial Arts' event at Elgin High will take place next Wednesday, May 25, from 4pm until 5pm.
