SCHOOLS and nurseries across Scotland are set to close this Friday, with cases of coronavirus across the country rising.
First Minister Nicola Sturgeon announced the measures at lunchtime today, and said it should not be assumed schools will re-open after the Easter break.

Details on the closures, including how vulnerable pupils will be helped, what will happen with exams and how to support the children of those who must continue to work, are set to be announced tomorrow.
The closures come shortly after the third death from coronavirus in Scotland was confirmed, with the total number of cases now 227 – up 32 from yesterday.
Schools in Wales are also set to close, with no such measures in place yet in England.
