Leaves on the track are being blamed for the cancellation of two train services between Inverness and Elgin.

ScotRail say “slippery rails” forced the operator to avoid running the 09:46 Inverness to Elgin train, due in at 10:38 and the 10.51 Elgin to Inverness train, due in at 11.37.

The national operator has been asked if other services between Inverness and Aberdeen will be affected today.
