Search continues for missing Lossiemouth man Clive Hewes

POLICE are continuing to conduct enquiries and searches around Lossiemouth for missing man Clive Hewes.

Sergeant Amanda Eveleigh, of the Elgin Community Policing Team, said: "We are following up enquiries of a possible sighting of Clive within the Shore Street area of Lossiemouth around 2.25pm on Monday, March 2.

"I would urge anyone who thinks they saw Clive around this time to contact us immediately.

"Members of the local community are assisting with our searches and have been briefed by our search advisor, Constable Jim Montague.

"I would like to thank the assistance we have received from the public and for their understanding whilst extensive police enquiries and searches of the area are continued."

Earlier today, members of the Coastguards were drafted in to help search sections of the coastal town. Clive, who is known locally as Maz or Mazzy, was reported missing by his family on Saturday, March 7.

The 46-year-old is described as around 5ft 10in tall, of slim to medium build, with brown shaved hair and grey eyes. He is clean shaven and was last seen wearing dark-coloured jeans, a black and grey jacket and white trainers.

Anyone with information is asked to call Police on 101, quoting reference 2422 of March 7.
