Cairngorm Mountain is currently seeing the best conditions of the season so far, with the wintry weather forecast to continue.

The mountain now has extended snow cover and several lifts and tows are in operation.

Susan Smith, interim chief executive of Cairngorm Mountain Scotland Limited (CMSL), said: "The fantastic heavy snowfall has seen wintersports enthusiasts flock to the mountain.

"The entire Cairngorm Mountain team has been rallying together to open as many tows and lifts as possible, as well as making sure the pistes are in top condition. With snowfall set to continue, we’re hoping to offer many more enjoyable days on the mountain."

Although the Funicular Railway remains out of service, skiers can ascend the mountain via a series of uplifts to access the highest slopes.
