The fundraiser is for AES’s charity of the year. The The Oxygen Works supports people with neurological and complex health conditions through treatments including oxygen therapy and physiotherapy.

AES commercial director, Jamie Di Sotto, said: “This is a great initiative. I am proud of the team organising this event and taking part in the challenge. We have everyone from seasoned cyclists to total beginners - the emphasis is on fun and making sure everyone completes whichever distance they choose.”

He added: “The Oxygen Works do incredible work in the north of Scotland for those living with long-term and complex health conditions.

“Anything we can do to shine a light on this truly inspiring charity, and to raise much-needed funds at the same time, is excellent.”

The Oxygen Works CEO, Leigh-Ann Little, thinks it is fantastic to see AES Solar staff taking part in the fundraiser.

“We are delighted to have been chosen as the company’s charity of the year,” she added.

“It’s very encouraging that so many people have signed up to take part in the challenge.

“The money we receive will support provision of essential support services including complementary therapies.

“As a small team of five at The Oxygen Works, it feels like we have a whole army of support around us and in the current economic climate it has arguably never been needed more.

“The support from the team at AES Solar is phenomenal.”
