Elgin restaurant Spice Tandoori named Asian Restaurant of the Year in Scotland for 2021

AN ELGIN eatery has been named the best Asian restaurant in Scotland for 2021.
Spice Tandoori, on Moss Street, won the Best Restaurant of the Year Award at the 6th Asian Food and Restaurant Awards in December.
The awards night took place at Montcalm Hotel in London, with 17 different prizes dished out.
This is the second time Spice Tandoori has won this award, after sealing the honour in 2019.
Restaurant manager Hussain Zakaria was delighted with the win – and thanked customers for their support.
He said: "It's a big honour for us. We are really proud to win this after coming through such a difficult time.
"It was amazing to finish the year with this win and celebrate our hard work.
"It has given us an extra boost and motivation to continue to work hard.
"Unfortunately not all of our staff could go to London because of limited attendance, but I'm really proud of them.
"We really appreciate all the great, local support that we have received from customers."
