A Spitfire is due to fly above Dr Gray's Hospital in Elgin on Thursday morning to show thanks to its staff.

The plane is due overhead at exactly 11.08am as part of its tour of Scottish medical facilities.

.

In a bid to raise money for NHS Charities Together the public is being asked to recognise small acts of kindness throughout the Covid-19 pandemic.

Family members, kind neighbours, close friends or community heroes can all be thanked by having their name hand written on the side of the Spitfire.

This can be done in return for a minimum donation of £10 at the JustGiving.com/nhsspitfire fundraising page.
