ALL the fun of the school sports day made a very welcome return to Cluny Primary recently.

What was once one of the highlights of the summer term before the holidays came calling has had to take a place very much on the sidelines for the last couple of years as strict Covid regulations during the pandemic prohibited such events.

However, all that was in the past as youngsters across the school took to the playing fields to enjoy some fun and games.

There was something for everyone to enjoy as pupils tried their hand at a number of activities.

Alongside the likes of the flat race was the co-ordination-challenging – and greatly entertaining – hoola hoop race. Traditional favourites also made an appearance on the day, including the evergreen sack race.

Even the good weather came along to join in what was a thoroughly fun day.
