DETAILS of funding to support Moray hospitality businesses hit by lost bookings during December and January 2022 have been published.
The December and January Top Up will provide a one-off payment to support businesses affected by the latest public health advice in December.
Worries over the surge of the omicron variant of Covid saw bookings plummet in many hospitality firm, with new restrictions being placed on the sector after Christmas.
Eligible hospitality businesses that previously received support through the Strategic Framework Business Fund (SFBF) will receive a top-up payment in January 2022.
The grant is a one-off payment at the rate of £4500 for premises which have a rateable value of up to and including £51,000, or £6800 for premises with a rateable value of £51,001 or above. Individual ratepayers with more than one business may receive an award for each registered business entity.
Moray Council will be contacting all existing eligible businesses that previously received grants through SFBF to confirm that they are still operating, with grant payments from early January 2022.
For any new businesses who may have become eligible since the previous Strategic Framework grants were delivered in January 2021, a separate application process will be set up in January 2022.
