Elgin “disturbance” leaves teen (19) in hospital





A teenager has been taken to hospital after multiple police vehicles were called to reports of a “disturbance” in a residential area.

A 19-year-old man was taken to Dr Gray’s after an incident in the Kingsmills area of Elgin - near Elgin Cathedral and beside CJ’s Plaice chip shop.

Around half a dozen police vehicles, several officers and a riot van were on the scene.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called at around 3.45pm on Tuesday, August 6, to a report of a disturbance in the Kingsmill area of Elgin.

“Officers attended and a 19-year-old man was taken to Dr Grays Hospital by ambulance for treatment.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
