Elgin teens ‘threatened to attack mum, kick baby in head and steal dog’, Police Scotland officers in Moray have said after launching an appeal for help tracing the youths





Abusive teens threatened to assault a mum, kick her baby in the head and steal her dog in Elgin, police have revealed.

Officers have appealed for incident after the “distressing” incident in the Linkwood Burn area of Elgin at around 5pm on Tuesday, June 24.

Issuing the appeal, a spokesperson described the behaviour as “unacceptable” and called for help tracing those responsible:

Around 5pm on Tuesday, June 24 a female was walking with her baby and dog on the path that runs adjacent to Linkwood Burn, Elgin,” said the Police Scotland spokesperson. “As they approached the bottom of Dove Avenue, [they] were approached by three males around 13 years old who were abusive towards her.

“The teenagers threatened to assault her, kick her baby in the head and steal her dog which caused her distress and flee to a more populated area for their safety whilst the group travelled towards the wooded area next to Linkwood Burn.

“All three males were wearing dark clothing, two had dark hair and the third had fairer hair.

“If anyone who lives in the areas can assist identify the three males, may have CCTV or recording doorbell footage that would assist identify these youths, please contact Police Scotland via 101… or report anonymously via Crimestoppers 0800555111 quoting reference ‘PS-20250624-2892’.”
