A FORMER Northern Scot employee has discovered this throwback picture, taken in 1974.
Neil Macdonald, from near Duffus, was a first an apprentice compositor at the paper. He made the find while looking through a box of old photographs recently.
The photo was taken at the old office at 175-177 High Street, Elgin.
Mr Macdonald is now wondering if anyone can help identify some of the missing people in the picture.
Here is who Neil sees in the photograph: "The tall guy at the back is Hamish Davidson. In front, don’t know, Robbie Munro, Stephen Young junior, Mike Payne, Ian Marshall, Cyril Cruikshank, Ron Smith, Sandy Brander senior, Stephen Young senior (editor at the time) and Terry Campbell. The rest in the back rows I don’t know. Front is Maureen, Margaret Drummond, Margaret Henderson, Mrs Michie, my good self Neil Macdonald and John Gow. There is someone between John and myself but can’t see enough of him."
