Local promotor Scott Divers who’s organising the gig on Saturday, March 8, said: “Kyle has played in Moray three times no so he’s obviously enjoying it.

“We’re delighted to have him back again and looking forward to another great night, with three local acts getting to support an accomplished artist.

“The gig has had to be moved from The Beach Hut as it’s closed its doors, so we really appreciate that the Comrades Club could accomodate us at such short notice.

“With venues closing up and down the country we can’t stress enough how vital it is to support them as well as the musicians.”

The View hail from Dundee. Their debut album in 2007 – ‘Hats Off to the Buskers’ – went to number one and recorded platinum sales. In addition it spawned the single ‘Same Jeans’ which reached number three.

While continuing to front the band, Falconer has also recorded three solo albums, the latest of which – ‘The One I Love the Most’ – was released last Friday.

Johnny Sheep and The Coupit, Ewes Billy, J Laing and Jake Bain will be the support acts for the for the March 8 gig at the Comrades Club on Commerce Street.

Remaining tickets can be bought by going to the Skiddle website and typing ‘Kyle Falconer’ in the search box.
