VIDEO: The Zebecks reference Moray roots in new single ‘Roseisle’
The Zebecks are releasing an acoustic version tomorrow of their new single ‘Roseisle’.
A song that references their childhoods growing up in Moray, it’s the fourth produced by a band who originally met while pupils at Elgin Academy.
The Zebecks are Daniel Thomson on guitar, Max Robertson on bass, Aiden Smith on drums and Hayden Peace on more guitar.
Nowadays all four are living the high life in Glasgow as they seek to further their musical ambitions. But even city-dwellers in their early 20s can get nostalgic at times.
Max said: “We love living down in Glasgow, It’s brilliant. But we’re still very close to our North East roots and, sometimes, you miss the peace and quiet.”
The band spent four days during the heatwave shooting the video, which obviously features Roseisle amongst other locations in Moray.
Max added: “We had a good time making it with Daniel Blake who films our videos.
“He’s from Dundee and had never been to Moray before, so it was good to show him around. And we’re really happy with the results.”
The Zebecks will be headlining the well-known venue King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut on Saturday, July 20.
