Children at Torridon Education Group were challenged to celebrate VE Day last week.

TORRIDON Education Group has been working hard to keep children busy and motivated at home during the coronavirus pandemic.

The group, which is a chain of family-run nurseries in Moray, has been keeping connected to parents and children in various ways.

Staff have been calling families to check in, setting activities to do at home and creating team videos.

Lauren Hayward, Torridon's manager, said: "For us, it is really important to keep the children and their families smiling and for them to know we haven't forgotten about them.

"The whole team have been brilliant at jumping into action and rising to any challenge.

"As you can imagine, filming themselves has pushed a lot of our ladies out of their comfort zones, but hearing the feedback from our parents about how happy it has made the children makes it all worth it.

"We have had parents telling us video have made them cry because they miss us and it's so lovely to see how much the staff team care. We have also been told the children have requested to play the videos on repeat because they are so excited to see the teachers in their house.

"I can't thank the team enough for how hard they are working and how fantastic they are being during this strange time."

Below, you can watch one of the videos the group has made. This was a dance routine that children could follow at home.

Last week's task was to celebrate VE Day, and the group made a video of them doing so.

The group compiled a video of adults and children alike taking part in socially-distanced activities.

The video is available to view on the group's Facebook page HERE.
