Gordonstoun School is open to visitors on Sunday, June 26, from 2pm until 5pm as part of Gardens Open Day.

This is the only time of the year when the general public can visit the campus.

Visitors will be given a guided tour of the grounds and can stroll down the 'silent walk' to the 17th century kirk, where former students including HRH Prince Philip would have worshipped.

Entry is £8 (cash only) and includes tea/coffee and homemade treats. Please enter by the West Gate.

Maggie Fair, Garmouth

After a two-year absence, the 400-year-old traditional village fair held in the Garmouth is back with a fun-filled day for all the family on Saturday, June 25.

The children's fancy dress competition for pre-school/primary age starts at 12.30pm – with judging at The Community Hub, High Street at 12.45pm.

The official fair opening takes place at The Cross, High Street, at 1pm. That will be followed by a piped procession to the playing field where all the main attractions are taking place.

This includes static displays, art exhibitions, crafters, tents, dog shows, traditional stalls, children's tent/activities, music, beer tent, obstacle challenge, classic cars, refreshments and much more.

Vehicular access to the playing field is not available between 12.30pm and 1.30pm as the road is closed for pedestrian safety.

Parking spaces available in car park beside and to rear of the playing field (look for bowling club signs). Additional parking also available at the Golf Club. There is no parking available at the former Garmouth Hotel car park.
