PEOPLE in Moray are being urged to make their mark on the forthcoming Volunteers Week.

TsiMoray is eager to hear from people about their experiences with volunteering.
TsiMoray is eager to hear from people about their experiences with volunteering.

The national campaign is due to get under way on Wednesday, June 1 and run until Tuesday, June 7 and Moray third sector umbrella organisation tsiMoray are asking for people to get involved in two ways.

The organisation is urging volunteers, present or past, to share their experiences of volunteering and what it means or has meant to them by way of a photo, a message or a video clip. These would then be shared on social media to celebrate volunteering by hearing from the volunteer's perspective and by doing so help build on the spirit of giving time to help others in the region.

Contributions can be sent to volunteer@tsimoray.org.uk

Also, tsiMoray would love to hear from members of the public who would like to contribute messages of thanks to volunteers who have helped or are helping them. These would also be shared on social media.

Meanwhile, in a separate initiative, tsiMoray are inviting public views on community adult learning in a special event facilitated by the Social Enterprise Academy.

This can have a big impact not just on individuals but wider communities and can stem from something as simple as a class, a taster session or personal development which goes on to have wider ramifications.

A wide range of responses is welcomed – highlighting both the positives and the negatives – to help shape community learning activities in the future.

There are two sessions, one on June 1, the other on June 8, running from 9.30am to 3.30. Attendees are welcome to stay the whole day or just go to the morning session.
