Elgin crash involving two cars takes place at traffic lights beside Mansefield Field





Three people have been assessed by a paramedic after a two-car crash in Elgin.

Two cars collided at the traffic lights on town’s South Street at around 3pm today (Wednesday, February 5).

South Street was closed for around an hour as emergency services - including three fire appliances and two police vehicles - were on the scene.

A Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3pm on Wednesday, February 5, to reports of a road traffic collision involving two cars on Northfield Terrace, Elgin.

"Operations Control mobilised three fire appliances to the scene.

"Three people were assessed at the scene by a paramedic.

"Crews left at 3.30pm after ensuring the area was made safe."

A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “At around 3pm, we were called to reports of a two-vehicle crash on South Street in Elgin.

“Emergency services are in attendance.”
