Two in court after Elgin fire





TWO men have appeared in court in connection with a fire in an Elgin flat.

Emergency services were call to the blaze at 26 Fulmar Road, Bishopmill just after 6.10pm on Tuesday.

All the residents within the block were evacuated.

Three fire engines - two from Elgin and one from Lossiemouth - attended.

An ambulance was also called but was not required.

The fire service extinguished the blaze and left the scene at 8.40pm.

Keith Richardson and Barry Malone, both 22 and from Elgin, appeared in Elgin Sheriff Court on Thursday charged with wilful fire raising.

The two men offered no plea or declaration and were remanded in custody.
