Two men arrested after wilful fire raising in Burghead

TWO men have been arrested in relation to wilful fire raising in Burghead last night.

Police were called to a fire at a property on Fraser Road, Burghead, at around 9.55pm on Thursday, September 24.

The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and no one was injured.

Two men, aged 20 and 24, have now been arrested in connection with the incident but police enquiries are ongoing with potential witnesses urged to come forward.

Detective Sergeant Robbie Williams, of Elgin CID, said: “Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and we would urge anyone who may have seen a white car in the area around the time of the incident or who has CCTV or dashcam footage to contact police."
