Therapy Ponies Scotland works across the region bringing the joy of its two friendly, trained Shetland ponies to care homes and hospitals.

The visit was a treat for the residents as part of their regular activities programme.

Therapy ponies can help people’s motor functions, reduce stress and help memories resurface for residents.

The ponies even visited those unable to leave their rooms, bringing smiles to faces and boosting moods.
