MERSON Park, the home ground of Buckie Rovers, has been targeted by vandals.
The ground, which is also home to Buckie Ladies, has seen various items damaged by what the club believe are groups of youths.
A spokesman for Buckie Rovers said: "Both the fence and the dugouts have been damaged.
"We believe that groups of youths are hanging out in the dugout area, which has been totally trashed.
"Fence brackets have been out of the ground as well and mesh has been ripped off the fencing.
"Whoever has been doing this seems to have no shame and don't care about public property. There's a lot of effort goes in to maintaining and repairing the ground and it's quite sad that these kids are vandalising it and using the park as some sort of hang out wrecking area."
Buckie Rovers are currently spending a second year out of league action. The club decided to go into abeyance for a season over 2020-21 due to concerns over Covid, the previous season having been cut short as the pandemic began to rage through the country.
The club reluctantly took the decision to sit out this season as well as due to no new committee members stepping forward to replace those who had departed their roles. Numerous public appeals for volunteers to come forward and serve on the committee proved fruitless.
