FIREFIGHTERS tackled a blaze on a Moray golf course this evening.
Crews from Lossiemouth, RAF Lossiemouth and Elgin were at the scene on the old course at Moray Golf Club in Lossiemouth.
The blaze started in a former World War Two pillbox - a concrete guard post - close to the outer boundary of RAF Lossiemouth.
The fire covered a small area of bushes on the edge of the fairway at the sixth hole on the old course.
An appliance from the nearby fast jet base was on the scene quickly, as was the retained crew from Lossiemouth.
An Elgin crew also attended with an all terrain vehicle.
Although there was a stiff breeze, the fire was quickly brought under control.
