Police Scotland have advised motorists that due to adverse driving conditions the "snow gates" on the A96 at Ramstone Hill, Huntly are closed.

There are no physical snow gates on the section, instead Police Scotland make the decision to close the road and will also make the decision to re-open the road with the guidance of BEAR Scotland.

The 'virtual gates’ on the A96 at Glens of Foudland see the section closed from the south bound junction at Battle Hill to the north bound turning for Culsalmond.

Drivers are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route.
