Vodka and gin tours at a spiritual home of Moray whisky
Vodka and gin tours are now also on offer at one of Moray's whisky distilleries.
Eight Lands, which was formed in 2019, is producing organic vodka and gin within Glenrinnes.
And now folk are being invited to tour both its site at the distillery as well as the surrounding Moray countryside.
Guests can begin their adventure by jumping in an off-road vehicle with estate manager Alister Laing who'll take them to the top of Ben Rinnes for a view of the eight surrounding counties which inspired the Eight Lands name.
This trip includes visits to the pedigree herds of cattle and even a chance to feed Alfie and Henry, the friendly stags.
The second part of the tour takes place in the distillery, sited five miles south-west of Dufftown, and is led by distillery manager Martin Pieroni.
It starts with an introduction to Eight Lands and a look-around the production space to get close to the locally-made 1,000 litre pot still named ‘Rebecca’.
Guests are then taken up to the tasting room where they can take part in a tutored nosing and tasting session.
Afterwards they will be served a light lunch featuring locally-sourced produce, plus a glass of frozen vodka alongside a scone with clotted cream and jam.
A range of add-ons are also available from fully catered meals through to clay pigeon shooting.
