Buckie headbutt left Moray police officer needing five stitches
A teenager has admitted headbutting one police officer and spitting on a second in Buckie.
Inverness Sheriff Court heard that the anxious mother of 19-year-old Dylan Guyan phoned the police after becoming worried for his welfare on April 20 this year.
However, after two Moray sergeants traced Guyan to a house in East Cathcart Street, Buckie, he headbutted one in the face and spat on the other.
Guyan of Auchinyell Road, Aberdeen, who is on remand for another alleged serious offence, appeared by video link.
The teenager admitted assaulting one officer to his severe injury and permanent disfigurement.
The court heard that Guyan had lunged forward with his head towards the first sergeant, causing a 2cm cut above his eyebrow which required five stitches.
He also admitted spitting on the second sergeant as both officers tried to get Guyan into a police van.
Fiscal depute Susan Love told Sheriff Ian Cruickshank that Guyan's "volatile" behaviour continued and he injured his own head by banging it on a wall.
Sentence was deferred until October 22 for a background report.
