The club is marking the 100th anniversary of its tenure at the stadium with an invitational tournament involving Fraserburgh, Peterhead and Inverurie Locos.

The first of the two semi-finals was won by the SPFL League 2 hosts thanks to first half goals from Brian Cameron and summer signing Jake Dolzanski.

Cameron opened the scoring from the penalty spot after 17 minutes when Fin Allen was fouled in the box by Sean Butcher.

And centre half Dolzanski made it 2-0 just seconds before half-time when he headed home a corner delivered by Allen.

The second half was a quiet affair as both sides struggled to create decent opportunities, although sub Josh Peters did force a good save late on from Edward Flinn.

Both sides made numerous changes in the second half, with the Broch making five in one go at one stage, as both managers used the game to assess their squads fully.

The second game on Saturday was due to kick off at 5pm between Peterhead, of League 1 and Highland League Inverurie Locos.

Elgin will play the winners in the final on Sunday, with a 4pm kick-off.

The consolation game between the two losing teams kicks off at 12 noon on Sunday.
