POLICE investigating a crash which saw an overtaking car narrowly avoid a head-on collision have issued a fresh appeal for information.

Officers wish to speak to a lorry driver who saw the incident, which occurred east of the Cluanie Dam on the A87 at around 4pm on Monday, November 23.

And they have posted a new still camera image of the lorry passing the Cluanie Inn in the hope it might jog memories.

Dashcam footage showed a car overtaking a lorry on a bend, resulting in an oncoming car spinning off the road and into a ditch.

Commenting on the fresh appeal, a police spokesman said: "Police are keen to speak to the driver of a large white lorry, possibly Scania make, carrying machinery at that time.

"Anyone with any information should contact police on 101, quoting incident NP2994/20."
