Webinar to help steer Moray businesses through crisis
MORAY Chamber of Commerce is to channel advice on how people can shore up their businesses through the virus crisis.
The business community is invited to join a webinar on Business Protection Through Crisis tomorrow, Tuesday, March 31, between 11am to noon, looking at how business owners can deal with the challenges and risks posed by the coronavirus outbreak.
Sarah Medcraf, chief executive of Moray Chamber of Commerce, will lead the webinar at which local legal and banking experts will offer local businesses advice and information on limiting risk.
Panels experts will include Peter McLuckie, senior associate at Harper Macleod, who will discuss the UK Government's job retention scheme, furloughed workers and commercial contracts.
Michelle Anderson, relationship manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, and Shelley O’Neill, commercial relationship manager at Clydesdale Bank, will offer information on the financial help the banks can provide, including the Coronavirus Business Interruption Scheme.
Donald Forsyth, partner at Saffrey Champness LLP, will equip participants with knowledge of practical steps they can take to protect cash flow. He will also update business owners on HMRC developments for staff and self-employment.
Questions can be sent in advance for the free webinar, which will be held via the remote conferencing platform Zoom, but there will be an opportunity for questions at the end.
