Too close to call in Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey between SNP and Conservative

THE talk among many in Elgin Town Hall is ‘it’s too close to call’ – and judging by the raw piles of votes, it could be a tense finish to the Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey constituency.

It is a two horse race between the SNP’s Graham Leadbitter and the Conservative’s Kathleen Robertson, both councillors on Moray Council.

There has even been talk of a recount but that is just speculation among the watching party faithful on both sides.

What is for sure, is that Moray will not be turning red like the rest of the UK, although Labour candidate James Hyman is well placed to finish a strong third.

It looks as if a result in Moray West, Nairn and Strathspey is getting tantalisingly close.
