Woman (49) arrested and charged with thefts in six north east towns, including Elgin, Inverurie, Aboyne, Ballater, Banchory and Mintlaw





POLICE have arrested and charged a 49-year-old woman in connection with thefts in six towns across Moray and Aberdeenshire.

The woman was charged with thefts across the north east.

She allegedly stole items, including alcohol, from businesses in Elgin, Inverurie, Aboyne, Ballater, Banchory and Mintlaw.

PolThe thefts took place between September 2023 and May 2024 at several business premises in Aberdeenshire and Moray, including Inverurie, Aboyne, Ballater, Banchory, Mintlaw and Elgin and involved the theft of alcohol and other items.

The woman is due to appear at Aberdeen Sheriff Court tomorrow, Friday, June 7, 2024.

PC Bryan Bruce from the South Aberdeenshire Community Investigation Unit said: “We hope this outcome provides reassurance to members of the public and would continue to encourage anyone with concerns to contact Police Scotland on 101”.
