THE A95 at Boat of Garten will undergo a £385,000 resurfacing programme starting next week.

Roadworks are due to start on Monday.
Roadworks are due to start on Monday.

The project will begin on Monday, September 9 and will last for 10 days between 7.30am and 5.30pm, with all work expected to be completed by 5.30pm on Friday, September 20.

No works will take place on Saturday or Sunday to avoid disruption to motorists over the weekend.

To ensure the safety of the work force and travelling public, a 10mph convoy system will be in place during the improvements. All traffic management will be removed outwith working hours.

Andy Thompson, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative, said: “This £385,000 surfacing project has been designed to improve the general condition and safety of this section of the A95.

“We’ve taken steps to minimise disruption by avoiding working at the weekend and by ensuring traffic management is removed outwith working hours. Our teams will do all they can to complete the project as quickly and safely as possible.

“We thank motorists for their patience in advance while we complete these works and encourage all road users to plan their journeys in advance by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up to date travel information and allow some extra time to reach their destination.”

Real-time journey planning information can be obtained by visiting www.trafficscotland.org or twitter @trafficscotland.

All waste martials and spoil resulting from these road works will be re-cycled in accordance with Scottish Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA) policies and procedures.
